LOLA MullenLowe, Madrid creates BURGER KING® scary video for Halloween

Clowns are the third most sought after Halloween costume of 2017. With this in mind, BURGER KING® has created Scary Clown Night. This Halloween, the BURGER KING® restaurant on Heerengracht Street in Cape Town will be full of frightening clowns eating flame grilled WHOPPER® sandwiches and Halloween will never be the same.

To participate in SA on 28th October, thrill seekers should head down to the BURGER KING® restaurant dressed as a clown between 7- 9pm to claim their free WHOPPER® sandwich.* Dress the part as this offer is limited to only 100 guests wearing a worthy clown costume as deemed by the BK selectors.

Ezelna Jones, Marketing Executive for BURGER KING® SA explains: “Halloween is growing in popularity in South Africa, and with the recent release of the ‘IT’ movie by Stephen King, we expect to see a few clowns roaming the street on Saturday night. Many of these characters will be in search of a fresh, tasty burger and heading to BURGER KING® to eat one – the only place to get a burger good enough to satisfy a respectable clown’s appetite.”

The campaign will launch on social media and will include a ‘very scary’ video, directed by award-winning filmmaker Rodrigo Cortés – known for movies like `Buried´ starring Ryan Reynolds and `Red Lights´ starring Robert De Niro and Cillian Murphy. The creative agency behind the campaign is LOLA MullenLowe, Madrid.
