Krispy Kreme South Africa takes home Impact award

The highly anticipated Krispy Kreme Global Partner Summit was held this year in
Orlando, Florida from the 28th of August to the 31st of August.

Each year Krispy Kreme franchisees from all over the globe are invited to attend the
global conference. The conference highlights the success of franchises worldwide
and gives franchisees a taste of what is to come in the year ahead. These “tastes” so
to speak include exciting new developments like limited time offer doughnuts and
beverages which are curated and conceptualized by the head chef in the US, basically
a sneak peak of what fans in South Africa can get excited for. Krispy Kreme keeps
fans excited about the brand 80 years after the first store was opened in Winston,
Salem.

An exciting part of the entire event is the awards ceremony where franchisees are
rewarded for their successes. This year 18 awards were up for grabs and for the first
time since opening their doors in 2015, Krispy Kreme South Africa received the
Impact Award for Best New Market. “Our partners in South Africa have done an
excellent job growing the brand throughout South Africa since first launching the
brand at Rosebank mall in Johannesburg. The team continuously displays the Krispy
Kreme core values every day, to every customer. Their continued strive for
excellence have resulted in several best practices that have been implemented
around the world.” Says Michael McGill, Vice President of International Operations.

With one international award under their belts Krispy Kreme South Africa, didn’t stop
there and were awarded the Best Doughnut in both Johannesburg and Pretoria.

Krispy Kreme South Africa strive to keep their local fans excited, and continue to
innovate daily.
