“I am very happy to join such a professional and quality publisher, and I know I can contribute to making Longevity an even stronger presence online focused on giving our audience what it wants. My background in journalism and advertising has taught me that keeping my finger on the pulse of what’s happening in the world is the key to pushing whatever I’m involved with in a prosperous direction. shoppers and start the day with a positive attitude. We want to make sure we offer a good balance of wellness, fitness, health, mindfulness and beauty-related content for our readers – not only publishing more regularly, but offering unique and fresh insights, and drive distribution of this high-quality content via our social media channels.”
Jacques joins the company after a successful career at several online publishers, including daily newspaper The Citizen, the PR department of Joe Public, Engage Joe Public and Africa’s Social Business authority, Cerebra. He holds a Bachelor of Honors in Journalism and a BA in Communication Studies from North West University. His work in different media platforms and his work on four short films that have premiered internationally, also contribute to his ability to create and publish both audio and video content for Longevity.
“I had the pleasure of working with Jacques in his time at Cerebra. His fresh perspective on the creative process and his talent for crafting compelling written work added significant value to our team. I enjoyed his personality and wit, and would confidently recommend him as an asset to any team.” says Mike Stopforth, CEO of Cerebra.
“The appointment of a digital talent like Jacques is key to Longevity’s strategy going forward. The world is in a disrupted state. No industry remains unaffected by the massive impact technology is having on consumption habits. Not least of which, media and existing platforms of consumer engagement. Longevity has established a strong brand connection and unique relationship with its readers over two decades, mainly in the printed format. However, we recognize the importance of developing our digital footprint in a meaningful and profitable manner going forward”
“Jacques’s appointment is also timed well with the launch of a content sharing relationship with MSN, along with other new exciting initiatives that will be revealed in time to come “, tells Gisèle Wertheim Aymés, owner and publisher of Longevity.
