Ticket sales for the APEX 2019 events are open

The Association for Communication and Advertising (ACA) is pleased to announce that ticket sales have opened for the 2019 APEX awards events being held on Thursday 11th July, 2019. This year the events will be held at the impressive new The Venue At The Houghton Hotel.

Tickets for the NeXt Level of Thinking Masterclass and APEX Awards Ceremony can be booked via the online ticketing system here.

The day kicks off with registration at 08:30 am for the NeXt Level of Thinking Masterclass which is once more hosted by APEX Key partner Provantage Media Group. The theme for the Masterclass is Africa: The Revolution and sees a group of five highly respected international and local industry leaders take to the stage.  Each will provide thought provoking and targeted overviews of the considerations to keep in mind for brands looking to deliver effective marketing and communications campaigns across the continent.

It is with great excitement that the ACA announces that two international speakers will be part of the line-up in the TEDx style thought leadership masterclass. Each session will be followed by a Q&A session with leading industry commentator and Bizcommunity Media & Marketing contributor, Danette Breitenbach.  The NeXt Level of Thinking Masterclass is a not-to-be missed event that affords all agency and client teams a significant opportunity to learn more about creating and delivering effectiveness within campaigns.

The 2019 PMG NeXt Level of Thinking Masterclass line-up includes:

  • Stan Slap: CEO – SLAP (NY Times bestselling author Stan Slap is a renowned thought leader on business culture)
  • Thebe Ikalafeng: Founder and CEO – Brand Leadership Group
  • Jane Ostler: Global Head of Media – Insights Division Kantar
  • Refilwe Maluleke: MD Yellowwood
  • Tbo Touch: CEO, Touch HD and Marketing

More information on the speakers and on their talks will be available on the ACA’s Facebook social media platforms.

The prestigious and hugely popular annual Awards Ceremony takes place from 19:00 at The Venue at The Houghton Hotel and annually attracts more than 400 attendees.  Each year captains of industry from the advertising and communications sector, commercial business, industry stakeholders, key stakeholders from Government and members of the media attend the awards which recognise those campaigns that made a difference to the brands’ bottom line.

Says Mathe Okaba, CEO of the ACA: “The annual APEX awards are a significant event on the industry calendar.  It’s a highlight event where the industry celebrates and recognises communications effectiveness and by extension the value our profession delivers in terms of business success. APEX furthermore contributes to maintaining the high standards of the profession through the awarding of bursaries to deserving PDI students at the AAA School of Advertising.”

Since inception in 2010, the APEX bursary programme has awarded a total of eighty bursaries to students of the AAA. By supporting the APEX events, delegates and guests are not only afforded an opportunity to hear from world class speakers and attend the awards ceremony, but are investing in the future of the profession.

“The ACA would like to thank our 2019 key partner Provantage Media Group and sponsors Kantar and Vodacom and all the contributors for the collaboration and support provided. Staging the events and providing bursaries would not be possible without their participation. We are extremely grateful for the support shown in celebrating the work that works, and look forward to continuing our relationship in the years to come,” concludes Okaba.

Seats at both events are limited and will sell fast.  Don’t delay, book now to avoid disappointment.
