Mr Andrea Ziella has been appointed as the Mattel South Africa Head of Marketing and Trade Marketing as of the beginning of May 2017. Ziella, former Senior Business Unit Manager (Infant & Pre-School) and Digital strategy at Mattel Italy, will be head of Trade, Marketing and Digital development for South Africa to boost the growth of the entire area.
Employed at Mattel Italy since late 2012, Ziella in his previous appointment achieved great results in developing category management projects for the Off-Line and On-Line channels, successfully launched the “La Scatola dei Giocattoli” platform and supervised the digitalisation process for the entire European Southeast area (Italy, Greece and Turkey) by developing synergic projects in line with the Corporation plans.
Graduated in Marketing Management at Bocconi University, he has also gained an in-depth experience in the luxury market (Chanel) and the large-scale retail (Carrefour) segments.
By exploiting Andrea Ziella’s professional skills and talent, Mattel intends to expand the South African market by focusing on digital communication strategies in support of existing traditional market and trade marketing activities.
