Ultimate Braai Master back for Season 8

Heritage month is the perfect time to announce that the ever-popular Ultimate Braai Master will be back on screen with Season 8 from 5th February 2023.

Season 8 will again feature well-known celebrity judges; the inimitable Peter Goffe-Wood, ultimate tip master Benny Masekwameng, and a yet-to-be-revealed, exciting new host.

Season 7 delivered an audience of over eight million viewers across e.tv, eExtra and eReality. And, the show has gone global; Netflix launched Season 7 on their streaming platform in February 2022 with the show trending in the top 10 for the first four weeks. With the ‘humble’ South African Braai now gaining worldwide recognition, Season 8 promises to be another nation building, nail biting showcase of the best of best.

Season 8 will officially be launched live on e.tv’s The South African Morning Show this Friday 23rd September. Both 2023 judges will be joined by Season 7 winners The Iron Tummies (Yash Singh and Taahir Abader) to discuss tips and tactics and what we can expect from Season 8.

Isuzu, joining the Ultimate Braai Master for the long run, are thrilled to be the official vehicle partner. Isuzu will showcase their trucks and vehicle ranges that will enable us to explore remote locations. With Isuzu on board, season 8 can now drive and showcase our many hidden treasures.

Ultimate Braai Master has gained in popularity across all South African demographics and with that, interest from sponsors has grown exponentially, with these iconic brands joined by TotalEnergies, BIC and Cetaphil, making Season 8 possible.

The new season will again feature 10 teams and be filmed in the Western Cape, a province so magnificent it has dozens of accolades, such as World’s leading Festival and Events Destination and Great Wine Capitals Global Network and is of course, a world famous gourmet destination. Now, with a South African twist; ‘the fairest Cape’ will host Ultimate Braai Master and will showcase the wealth of produce celebrated in the region, from free range dairy and grain fed cattle, to fresh grown organic vegetables from farm to braai to table.
