Spotong, South Africa’s leading township trade magazine, will be celebrating women’s month by hosting their annual Spotong Women in Business event on the 24th of August to recognise women entrepreneurs operating in the thriving township market.
Spotong empowers, educates and informs township traders across South Africa reaching more than 35 000 township traders which have an estimated combined monthly spend of R450 million, on stock and products for their businesses. These entrepreneurs have been serving millions of consumers in their communities for decades, both empowering their surrounding communities and providing an opportunity for brands to interact with township consumers.
The highly successful and much anticipated Spotong Women in Business event provides an invaluable platform to engage, one-on-one, with dynamic and influential female township entrepreneurs, the driving force behind township economies. On the day the ladies will be treated to inspirational talks from industry leaders, exciting give-aways and get a chance to interact with the trade exhibitors that will be on show.The event pays tribute and celebrates these proactive, ambitious and inspirational ladies who connect and empower the township community as a whole.
